When I first listened I thought it had the ring of an old Irish air but something happened and I had to go off. Just listened again and saw the broadcaster is Irish state radio RTE. I hadn't heard of her, so Googled. She had an album out last year. Link to a short piece on her in The Irish Times last year with another embedded song. Sounded good too. We have teenagers in the house so I'm deluged by anything but this sort of thing..
Fuck. That was unbelievably compelling. Sung from the heart with fierce sincerity. Just LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteShe's pretty special huh? Does the anthemic thing so well.
