Bought me a boat

Housing Anxiety? Moi?
In my fretty bloodrush about where and how to live, I've settled upon the perfect answer to such conundrums:
a) Buy a boat.
b) Ask my sister to take glamour shots while it's still on the back of the ute.

Just as a chaotic period seems to be the right time to acquire a puppy, housing stress is the right time to get a boat ... right?
Right.

What a darling she is. I bought her from Old Salt. A vintage, fully riveted Namco, who also made pressure cookers and pots and pans and stuff. Old Salt had fitted her out for his own nefarious purposes and sold her on the condition that he be able to borrow it back on dark and gloomy nights.

  1. Nice boat. Nice hair too. Live in it?! I suppose if you put a roof on it you could use it as a pressure-cooker when things got too much on dry land.

  3. From the looks of it, you could probably cover your living costs modeling for "Boat 'n' Tackle" weekly, or the like.

    Most glamorous indeed.

  4. This would make a great tender for the houseboat.

  6. So this isn't the boat on the side of the road near the petrol station where I bought my beanie. There was a dinghy (spelling?) and you commented that it had been there for ages.

I love your boat Sarah. It's beautiful.

  7. It's not the same one Melba. That boat was wooden and it's still there (sigh) but much bigger and would require a fair bit of work and a trailer.

  8. I had a riveted aluminium dinghy once, it was great on a very calm day but difficulties occured when a breeze arose.

  9. I would love to have a small boat. My husband talks about how great it would be to own a pontoon boat to take to some of the lakes near our home.
