Yes, good rain that one. The Stirlings smoke wasn’t there yesterday when I was up the tower and warnings have been downgraded, so it seems to be settling.
Dryer than a dead dingos donga up Central Stirlings way. Dams are very low or empty, farmers are looking at buying water for stock. A bit distressing to see families of emus looking for a feed in the black, charred remains driving to Borden and back yesterday. Watching the lightning show from my front verandah in Pwakenbak a couple of weeks back I saw the strike that started the previous fire. It did not take long to extend the entire length of the ridge it started at. Nature is awesome.
Wow. Hope they got some rain over that way but I think it may have stuck to the coast. We got 24mm all up - stoked!
