Powder Keg, Quaranup

  1. Great photos, Sarah. We have a powder store near here with all the same features - far away from others, should it go up, vents to divert blasts - should it go up - rounded roof - should it go up...

The UK police, in their wisdom, have obliged me to store black powder in a box, NAILED TO THE FLOOR, so - if it goes up - it will turn itself into a bomb, and there is nothing that the poor firemen can do to remove it.

  2. Lovely rustic colours. I love this little building - have some photos of it myself. I can't believe the government hasn't sold Quaranup off for a resort but really glad they haven't. It means lovely bits of architecture like this survive for now.

  3. Should it go up, should it go up .. he heh ... would make for some interesting fireworks!
The ammo store has a wooden floor with a smooth worn hole exactly in the middle. I've always wondered what it was for.
