Performed by Neil Finn, Kev Carmody and The Australian Ballet, Sarah Blasko, John Bell, Angus and Julia Stone, Paul Kelly and Bangarra Dance Theatre, Teddy Tahu Rhodes and Opera Australia, Martha Wainwright, Katie Noonan and The Sydney Symphony, The Temper Trap, Daniel Johns and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

  3. Hmmmmm. I like it but...... (at the risk of being a bit of a "grumpy old man?") - Neil Finn just doesn't get me where Cave gets me in those opening bars ....and (at further risk of......)those closing shots are a bit Sydney twee. Sorry Sarah it takes all types of grumpy people to make the world go round.

    Now the kev Carmody double album "Cannot Buy My soul" - there's a tribute album that does do it for me - especially the Drones version of 'River of Tears'. I saw that album performed live. It was fantastic.
    Not the sea - that's true but rivers of tears and emotion.
