The Sound, ANZAC Day

  1. All of those great pictures remind me of whales - even the detail of the 'gill'-like structure of rock.

  2. Whales? The hues perhaps?
The 'gills' are limestone stalactites out near Bald Head.
Birds settled onto the water out near Breaksea and Michaelmas Islands - terns, shearwaters, Pacific gulls.
    Dolphins, freighter ships.
No bonito or salmon, which was a shame but what a lovely day.

  4. PS the surf here was nice too when it glassed off as it seems to in your pics.
